for sales dial 1, for service dial 2, for all others dial 3 on HTC Droid Eris

A really mundane phone question.  When I place a call and connect with a computer answering scheme that takes you through the dial 1 for this, dial 2 for that, how do I quickly get from my blank screen back to a screen with numbers so I can jump through the computer hoops?

When you take the phone away from your ear, the display should light up.  Then touch the icon in the bottom left corner of the screen and it will bring up the keypad.
