How does the $100 BYOD promotion work? I've read everything on the Verizon site and it still isn't clear to me.
I go to vzw.com/switch.
I enter my "purchase date" and mobile phone number. I assume purchase date means the date I purchased the phone but this is not clear.
I click through a couple of screens and get a confirmation screen. I also get a confirmation email from status@yourwirelessswitch.net. The confirmation email has the phone number I provided and a tracking number, and says:
We've received your submission for the Bring your 4G Smartphone. Get $100 promotion. Here are the tracking number(s) for the mobile number(s) you provided:
[phone number here]: | [tracking number here]

We'll be in touch if we need anything else. If all promotion requirements are met you can expect to receive your reward(s) around 01-31-2018.

So, my assumption is that when I add my new line AND PORT MY PHONE NUMBER OVER, I can expect the $100 around 1/31/2018. Is this true???
When I add a device to my account, it is assigned a different phone number. I assume I have to change this to my existing number, that was on the rebate form, to get the $100. Is this true??? No where does it actually say what I need to do. But based on the info I filled out, I see no way to associate my order with the rebate form other than the phone number. What do I need to do besides fill out the offer form and activate a device???? Why is this so hard???
