Activation Issues, Houma LA

I just bought a new S7 as my phone broke and I had to get one ASAP!!  I was told at the Verizon office that they were having activation issues but that it should be corrected.  It has been 9 hours and my phone is still not activated.  I am without a phone and I am getting very annoyed with this.  What is the status of the activation network?????  Can I activate my phone over WiFi????
