I have unlimited data that I've been using on my hotspot for about a week. Yesterday I was able to connect on my laptop as usual but wasn't able to browse like usual. Like I said I have unlimited data so why exactly has it stopped working?
Could you have used your allotted high speed hotspot data allowance on the unlimited data plan? Which plan do you have? How much data have you used?
I have the unlimited data plan for $80/mo. I thought the "unlimited " part applied to using hotspot. When I open up my data usage in the My Verizon app all it tells me is I have unlimited data.
You DO have unlimited data. You might not have unlimited LTE speeds.
What is the exact name of the plan? Is it the New Verizon Unlimited Plan?
Verizon took away the hotspot for prepaid customers without notification. So, everyone who is paying for unlimited data with a tethering/hotspot, Verizon just applied the screws to it's prepaid customers. I am contacting an attorney tomorrow.
Yes I have the new unlimited plan. Is it true what he says about them taking away hotspot for prepaid customers?
Did they seriously just make it so that I can't connect with my laptop? Can someone confirm this? I think it might be time to switch to an unlimited plan that isn't $80 a month if so. Does anyone know which providers allow unlimited tethering or hotspot for laptops? I got this so I could use it for work and if I can't use it anymore than I need to find another one to replace it.
You could switch from the Verizon prepaid unlimited smartphone plan to the Verizon postpaid unlimited plan.
What is the difference between the two? Where would I go to sign up for that?
Prepaid Cell Phones & No Contract Plans | Verizon Wireless
All plans except Unlimited have hot spot.
That's a nice picture, but it's not the promo that was displayed in the store where I purchased my phone.
That is from www.verizonwireless.com.
We can only go by what is there.
Verizon changed the plan without informing the customers. I called customer service and they had the audacity to tell me hotspot was never included in the plan.. Lie Lie Lie. I'll be switching just out of principle that's why I love not having a contract.
Not having a contract ALSO means that your plan can change without notification.
