Remove iPhone 7 Plus from Verizon Account

i recently purchased a iphone 7 Plus a while back. It’s not iCloud locked or anything, but when I try to activate the phone I always get a activation server error. I have metro pcs and want to use it on the Verizon phone because the average one comes Unlocked. I was told by a representative this morning that their is a active account linked to the device. Is their anyway that I can get the phone deactivated/removed from the Verizon carrier or am I just out of luck with this one?

srobinson94, I'm sorry to hear that you have had trouble activating your new device. Since the phone is still active on the Verizon network, the only person who can deactivate it is the account owner. I would recommend reaching out to the seller. If they are the original account owner, they will be able to remove it. If they are not, they should be able to reach out to the original account owner. Does that clarify things for you?
