Mifi 7730L

I purchased a Network Extender and it has increased the signal strength on my Mifi to 5 bars (-80 RSRP) while at my home (zip code is 23830). However, when I connect my apple devices or a PC to the Mifi, I cannot access the ineternet or the connection is extremely slow. The device works well at a different location with a poorer signal strength. Why is that?

Was this a network extender purchased from Verizon? Is the extender connected to a landline based internet connection? If not, is the mifi or cellular data network the only way to access the internet at your location?

Yes network extender was purchased from Verizon and seems to work perfectly. The extender is connected to my netgear router which is connected to Hughesnet which is my internet provider (not a landline).

It is not recommended for a network extender to connect to a satellite internet service.

The satellite connection might work for the voice service, but you are likely overloading available internet connection.

Thank you! The whole reason I bought the extender was to increase signal strength on Mifi to use it for internet. The satellite internet is slow and videos do not work well. Can you tell me more about “overloading available internet”? The network extender is plugged into the router connected to satellite. I get that but how does the statellite internet relate to the Mifi? The Mifi isn’t connected to the satellite at all.

Mifi is connected the network through the satellite internet. The improved signal on the mifi is prove it is connected the the extender.

This is the route of the data out from the mifi to the Verizon Wireless network and the internet.

The Mifi has very poor signal strength when not connected to the extender. This has been going on since I purchased it.
