iPHONE 5..........june!

Those of us who follow apple products know that iphone 5 comes out in june. SO...what does this mean to us as Verizon customers...well,

-do we run out and buy the iphone4 not knowing what upgrades are on the way a few months down the road???

-will verizon even get the iphone 5 ??? AT&T will... as always

- So what will Verizon do?..release the iphone4 and **bleep** off all of those who dont realize that the new and improved iphone5 is coming out in june.. then not allow their customers to upgrade and instead charge them 500 to 600 bucks to get the new phone.....I guess this is a good test to see if verizon is more money hungry than they are concerned about us.

When did Apple announce this? Please only post facts... No one can predict the future...

For me, it means I use my upgrade on the iPhone 4 right now..and then sell the iPhone 4 on eBay and use the money towards the iPhone 5. The cost wouldn't end up being that much more than upgrade cost if you do it this way.

I will be Honest, if iphone 5 does come out in 5-6 months, i will still be enjoying the iphone 4. Just because a new iphone comes out doesn't make the previous model obsolete.

Personally I know a new one will probably come out. Doesn't matter to me if it's VZ or AT&T. I will still get my 4 and enjoy it. I'd rather wait for the 6 and use my upgrade then.

And like you mentioned, who knows if Verizon will even get the iPhone 5 right away..it could be awhile after AT&T, and I don't have the patience to wait that long..6 months is already quite awhile away.

Even if verizon gets the rumored iphone5, people seem to want the iphone 4 NOW not later. If you have doubts its probably better for you to wait until june/july to see what happens.

No one knows for sure when the iphone 5 will come out, but if it does come out in June I won't mind at all. I am paying full retail for the iphone 4 and actually will be eligible for the 1 annual upgrade I will have left around the first of July I believe so I will be able to take advantage and upgrade to the iphone 5 if I decide I want it.

Again, unless you live on the other side of Uranus, you fully well know that an iPhone 5 for Verizon is on the way, it's just not known exactly when. then not allow their customers to upgrade and instead charge them 500 to 600 bucks to get the new phone. They know good and well that a certain number of people will happily buy an iPhone 4 now with the knowledge that an iPhone 6 is on the way about the time that they are eligible for an upgrade price. They also know that certain people will wait for the iPhone 5 to hit Verizon. Which is okay. It's called "marketing research".I guess this is a good test to see if verizon is more money hungry than they are concerned about us. No, actually, it's a good test for Verizon to offer the masses more than one option with regard to buying the iPhone that you want. Folks can buy one now or wait for the Vi5 to come out. Or buy an Vi4 now and pay full price for the Vi5 and sell the Vi4 on Ebay. See how the choices abound for everyone! If you'd come up for air and leave the conspiracy theories in the basement, you'd easily see how this is a Good Thing.

Please note that no iPhones were harmed in the making of this particular dissection. Although I have opened myself up to trademark infringement by Soundcraft for the use of "Vi4" and "Vi5" as iPhone acronyms... :smileysurprised:

Verizon Wireless has to answer to the shareholders of Verizon Communications and Vodafone. Making money (in a sustainable way of course) is the most important. They are less concerned about you, sorry. Also, no-one is forcing you to buy the iPhone 4, wait for the 5, whenever it comes.

They're just going off of Apple's yearly refresh cycle. Apple isn't likely to pass on the chance to make more money so I'm sure they'll probably release an updated version for AT&T. As for Verizon, I think they'll wait til next year and possibly release one with LTE support.

I don't believe EVERYTHING I read on the internet, but if this is true, then it definitely looks like Apple won't be ready to release an LTE version of the iPhone this summer.

Now, it still doesn't rule out a new iPhone with just CDMA and upgraded features.... hmm.....

I am not worried. I have another upgrade coming in June. From the looks of it on EBAY, Iphone 4s are still selling really well. I will just sell this one and upgrade, if the new iPhone 5 is even worth the hassle.

There is always something newer coming out just around the corner. If you wait until nothing new is expected, you will never get a new phone. Get what you want and enjoy it for as long as you can. I will get what I like and stick with it.

You already know the answer about Verizon being more money hungry. They are there to make money and LOTS of it. I've contacted FCC many times regarding their practices..................the biggest one of course is charging $30.00 extra for a Smartphone and then THEY use up half with their downloads and upgrades. And what is left of the GBs for you?
