How do I set my droid to a 2 touch dialer

I'm having problems when I make a call through the contact list. If I accidentally touch the wrong name, the call immediately goes through. I would like to find a setting where I have to physically touch the contact's name, then touch the call button. Is there an app for that or is there a setting I can change?

Moto Droid or Eris? On my Moto Droid, if I touch the name of a contact it pulls up a list of that contacts phone numbers, email addresses, etc. If I touch the phone icon by the name and there is only one number associated with the contact, it dials directly as you said. If there is more than one number it gives me a list of those numbers.

yeah, could you please state which phone. i have the droid and i use a direct dial shortcut for my bosses at work, all i have to do is touch the shortcut and it automatically dials them. i can even space them so i dont accidently touch the wrong one.

what i meant is that i can put them on different lines so i dont accidently hit the wrong contact. but you press and hold the contact, as soon as the phone vibrates you can move it around the screen.
