No 4G and signal strength 1 bar

2 days ago my phone and the other 2 Verizon phones suddenly were showing a "grayed out" 4G icon with only 1 bar of service. Have been a customer since 1990s and lived in the same house for 15 years without issue of signal strength. Live in a well populated suburb where I would think cell towers are NOT an issue. What has happened?

I have a similar issue except I never have any bars. If I do, it is a corner. I changed from a S5 to S7 and very frustrated. I have been living in the same place 19 years and was pleased with Verizon so much so several family members switches to Verizon. I am not buying any extras such as extendes for service I'm supposed to be already getting. verizon what in the heck is going on? I am to the point of going to another provider.
