Backup assistant on Android

I'm having an odd issue with using the Verizon backup assistant. I have set up the assistant on my phone and synced it a few times over the last couple days and none (0) of the contacts are making it from my phone to the website.

 

All of the contacts on my phone are saved as google contacts which is where the issue seems to be. I created a fake contact as a "phone contact" and resynced again and that contact showed up on the website right after syncing, but none of my regular contacts synced still.

 

Is there a way to get the rest of my contacts to sync to the website without having to go through every single one of them and convert them to a phone contact vice google?

First make sure you have good signal and updated roaming capabilities. To do this dial *228 then select option 2 and power the phone off, then back on. After you have done this click to open Backup Assistant. Once open click to create a new account and choose to sync all contacts. Once you have done this it should enable all of your contacts to sync.
