Given false info on ipad sale

Just stopped in to store to get a new ipad. Store clerk showed me new ipad and told me how much, so I agreed and we began the process. After we were done (I hour later) he told me the original price was no longer valid and it would be $150.00 more. What a scam. What a the numbers for district managers?

What was the price he told you?

Was it for the promotion?

The promotion will have a 2yr service agreement attached to it, meaning you will pay $10 per month for the iPad to be connected to the VZW network for 24 months and share your plan's data allotment.

If you do not want the service agreement, you will pay full price for the iPad.

You save $150 off of the price of the iPad but you spend $240 in line access fees. That means you will pay the full price of the iPad plus $90.

If you do not want the network connectivity, you can get a WiFi only iPad from Apple and save $130.

The clerk quoted a price of 250.00 for the ipad and we agreed on the 2 year

contract. We would add this to our previous account. Everything was set up

and ready to go, data transferred and then he advised it would know be

400.00. This is ridiculous. I am thinking about canceling my Verizon

account and going with someone else.

Did you buy the iPad after the price became $400?

I ask because the iPad can't be activated or have data transferred to it BEFORE it is paid for. It shouldn't be opened until the transaction is complete and payment is made.
