I have received a phone call from IC System concerning fraud on my account. Is this legitimate?

I got a phone call from IC System debt collection agency, claiming to be on contract to Verizon, saying I owed $2,100 for an account in Tennessee (which I never opened nor have I ever lived in that state). I have tried contacting you via the customer support call line and got nowhere. I want to know, is this legitimate and what do I need to do.

first look at credit report and see if that is the really case if yes then call 800 922 0204 and ask to run your ssn to make sure no account under name which you are not aware of if there is then then ask to transfer to fraud or give you number so you can call them.
