Plan change from $40 to $30

I just got my phone and I bought a $40 prepaid card. Now I have to pay for the second  month and I couldn't find a $40 prepaid card so I got a $30 one. Will my plan change automatically to a $30 one and will my account service remain active? The payment is due tomorrow and I already put the balance on my account.
