Why is Verizon service getting slower, lacking performance and crashing
the apps are not available to use, I thought the NFL and the hotspot was to all Verizon customers.
I want all-tel service back
And my price is only been going up
If it’s Alltel service you want back, you kinda have it, as thier service area shrunk from 34 states, to 6, to 0. During their heyday Alltel's top data speeds were also the slowest of all major carriers since they only offered EVDO Rev0 technology on their network. Alltel had limited hotspot options and no NFL offerings.
Verizon network isn't shrinking, or slowing down, but connection/speed issues can be experienced due to distance from a tower, geographical obstructions, capacity/bandwidth limitations, or device settings/issues as with any carrier.
Also, lots of people on congested towers can slow down speed general.
Not sure where you live but where I live and play I have no issues. I live between NY and Philadelphia and have no issues when visiting either of these areas and they are both HEAVILY populated.
Honestly, if the service doesn't live up to what you feel is a good value for your money then you really should look into another service. Don't continue paying for something that isn't commensurate with what you're paying.
Your apps crashing and slow performance has NOTHING to do with Verizon service. That would be an issue with your device
I have not moved since I've signed up with all-tel and Verizon took over and I admit the service has gotten better overtime and I was given the NFL app because I am a paying member to the Verizon community.
But in the past 6 years, minus this last year, I can say I've always had "mostly good service" but this last year I've probably had too many phone calls wanting me to upgrade. when I heard about all this about the phone company dragging your speed I did not want that because I was happy at the time with my service, but now Verizon is attacking me, taking away the NFL app that I once used for 2 or 3 years and the full speed I had till maybe 6-8 months ago, also I had videos that will always have to refresh in the last 4-6 months, maybe 6 or 8 cuz I'm not on the phone all the time paying attention, until recently it seems every video I watch refreshes at 2 different spots, and internet locking up because of the slow speed and temporary dis-connections which was very rare but now it's second nature and it's getting annoying and I did my speed test which proves they dropped my speed
And I'm supposed to be a proud Verizon customer? You don't give, then take away...

I have not moved since I had all-tel service and Verizon took over with commitments to improve all their customer's service.
From the Verizon buyout of Alltel to my first phone upgrade with Verizon was the Thunderbolt Phone, to give you a time frame of my transition into the Verizon community.
The speed has gotten better in the beginning years Verizon service took over and the NFL app was also offered to me for a few years, although they would not allow me to have the Verizon Hotspot because of my Unlimited Usage they had to honor from all-tel (w/o dragging) but they somehow found a loophole and Redused or DRAGGING my speed per the internet speed test I've been doing periodically.
I last had complaints when I had my Aging S3 so I understand what you're saying about the device causing any issues, Verizon fixed that along with my insurance I had, they upgraded me to the S7 when it was new yet, I couldn't believe it and then I was offered the NFL app usage (thank you Reps back then, doing the honest work) until recently as again my speed was reduced and the internet started freezing!!!

have you used the same device all this time? Is it in the same exact condition? how is Verizon attacking you? And I'm not sure what you mean by taking away the NFL app.
I don't think anybody in the world has the same device they had since the date all-tel was bought out by Verizon
I currently have the S7 and it is in good shape nothing wrong with it unless it's some internal software problem but I have been keeping up with the updates
Maybe the company could offer me a refurbished phone just to confirm it I guess you need to eliminate certain things first.
Verizon is attacking me by reducing my speed or dragging it I do not know what technical term to use but you get the idea, I have slow internet speed, it locks up, causing my apps to crash, lock up, freeze and lose their present position where I was when I go back to it.
As for the NFL app, Verizon offered all there customers free, I used it maybe two years and then now, I cannot access it anymore, they took away any access to it from me
Slow Verizon network or Verizon dragging my service has everything to do with the performance of the apps, if there's a slow connection, short disconnect, the app will Freeze, Buffering or crash...
And it's not just the apps, when I'm on the internet searching web pages, they also will freeze, buffer or disconnect and lose my spot or even the page.
My phone is updated and scanned frequently
