I have experienced a decrease in signal at my house while using my LTE MIFI (4G) or USB connection (3G) to the point that it takes minutes for a page to load. I have been unable to effectively use my PC for internet search this month. I have a 16 GB data plan and rarely come near using it on any previous month. However, a few days ago, I had switched to the USB to see if it would connect better and found that it would not. I closed all browsers and went to work thinking that I had turned off the connection. Within the next 8 hours it had used 5.5 GB of data which will cause me to exceed my allowance.
How is it possible for the USB to burn that much data when no browsers (or other internet based programs for that matter) were running? Verizon's response was to suggest that I purchase the "new unlimited data" plan which will cost me approximately $60 more each month. I would almost consider doing that except the reception is so poor lately that I wouldn't be able to use it.
