Ghost calls

My wife and I are having the issue of getting Ghost Calls or Phantom calls to our phone. I have noticed lately, that this only happens when I am connected to Wifi. We will get calls from numbers we don't know and people that are in our contact list. Like over the weekend, I received two calls from what my phone says from my wife, she was standing next to me. If we pick up, sometimes they just hang up. Other times, they is someone there acting as someone else. Is there something that we can do to stop these, otherwise the only thing I can think of is changing our phone number. Any advice would be great.

It is such a shame how we all get these annoying phone calls on our landline. They call our house and caller id will even at times say it is us calling. Supposedly this are suppose to be from telemarketers put I honestly don't know how they think they are going to sell us anything with this kind of dissipation. Now to hear the kind of calls you are getting is really getting to be to much. Have you added any new apps that you both have put on your phones. It is really weird that it happens only when you are on wifi. Do you have your phones activated to make wifi calls? Are you seeing anything strange happening on your computers? If you find out anything on this will you please keep us posted as I am sure that it will just be a matter of time that the rest of us will be dealing with this on our phones

Those sort of calls would be an issue for me as well. I wouldn't want to see you bothered. This sort of call would get old fast. When did you first start having these calls come in? How often are they from numbers you recognize?

I am having the same issue. When I call the numbers back it say either this number is not allocated or this number is not in service. I think your company is being hacked.

No, there are no similar apps we have on our phones. We do have our phones activated for Wi-Fi calling. There is nothing strange on our computers. These are really not telemarketers either. It is usually some girl or a child trying to get you to say some words, really weird.

These started about 3 months ago. Yes, some of these numbers are coming from people we know or that are in our phone book. I have just been trying to figure out when and where we get most of these calls to get a better understanding of how to go about troubleshooting this issue. We went to the local verizon dealer and told us to change the password on the AppleID and we did. No luck.

yep, I have the same issue. Sometimes I call then number back and someone picks up.

I am having he same issue. Me my husband and mother in laws phones keep calling each other. Even when we’re next to each other!! Also my Phone keeps calling an ex family member and they took me to court saying I was harassing them. My bill did not show these calls Being made. It shows on caller ID though. I didnt get charged with anything. But this is a real problem. My phone still calls these people. <<removed>>??? No help from Verizon call center. I have reported this

It's called caller ID spoofing and no there isn't anything you can do.
