Just tried to return my wife's ZenFone 5 Live, which we got a month ago. Was informed we waited too long to get a replacement from the store, and a warranty return would be authorized. All well and good, but leaves my wife with a [removed] phone for the next three days while her father is in hospice in another city. They said there was no such thing as a loaner phone, and if I wanted a different phone today I'd have to pay off the [removed] ASUS phone first. Reluctantly I agreed to wait on the replacement phone by mail, which just seems so dumb, when I feel fairly certain they could have pulled one out of stock and waited for the replacement phone themselves. I am beyond unhappy. My wife had to walk out of the store to keep from strangling the clerk. Is there no way to get a [removed] replacement phone from the store.
