This is the second time I'm having trouble at my local retail store. When I buy a phone they have in stock, there is no problem, but if they order it, twice there has been an issue. This time, my son needs his phone replaced. We planned on an iPhone 8, but were convinced on buying the iPhone 7 - black 128g. The store was empty as it was the daytime and all 3 people were helping us decide. They said we can get this phone ordered (they only had red in the store) and it would arrive in 1-2 days. That was last week Wednesday, and so far there is no tracking number, so there is no phone on the way yet. In the meantime, I can't cancel the order because they say I can only do that once the phone is here. Well, that also means I can't get the phone anywhere else because his phone number is locked into this upgrade. So I am totally in their mercy with no end in sight. How is it possible that the order can't be cancelled. They don't even know if there is a phone available in the near future. I'm at a loss for words here. They have us trapped. Is there any way to either get the phone, get a date when the phone is available or cancel the order and start all over again? Help.
