does Verizon post an outage map like the electric companies do?
Im without service aswell in NE Pa from the storm.. wonder if we get a compensation for it like verizon wants there overly priced bills every month... pretty <<removed>> to lose service just cause of high winds.. my friends with sprint and att all still have there cells working

I have read somewhere customers can only request refunds if the outage lasts 24 hours or longer.

If you feel they are overpriced why are you still with Verizon and not any of the the cheaper options? If Sprint an at&t are so awesome why not change carrier to Sprint or at&t. You know sometimes outages happens. Guess what, happens with Sprint and at&t too. Sorry the world isn't prefect.
