My phone drops a call after being connected for 9 hours and I was wondering why.

Fluctuations in service can cause a call to drop REGARDLESS on how long you had been connected. Having a phone call last for 9 hours, you should certainly expect some fluctuation in your signal.

There are several factors which can affect your signal including atmospheric conditions which can change even if your location has not changed.

Thank you!!! I was wondering why cause it keeps happening after 8 or 9 hours.

What a great question, NICTER8. We are glad to provide you with a consistent 9 hour call experience. Each service provider has a limit for their phone calls before they drop. At that point you will be required to call the number back.

It depends on the network and it's policy. Main reasons for using this option by an operator is to defend from possible fraud calls and also to disconnect calls that are too long due to a mistake by subscriber (sometimes subscribers forget to disconnect a call). I hope this information is helpful.

How about a 'Great Answer' and tell us what the VZW limit is before a call is disconnected, or is it 9 hours?
