Cannot send or receive calls. Incoming calls get voicemail, retrievable.

Hi Folks,

I have a new HTC U11. All else works, except outgoing texts generate "unsuccessful" alert even though they all have been received. Outgoing calls hang up before any receiving phone picks up. I had a voicemail app (Youmail) which does track every call, but shows all calls completed successfully. I deactivated the service and rebooted the phone, but there is no change in the problem. This is a big safety issue, not to mention hassle. Cannot reach Verizon for help.

Do you currently have an LTE only SIM card in it? That may correct the problem

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, deloused. We understand the HTC U11 has been approved to be used on our network even though it is not sold directly by us.

Do you happen to have a a Verizon SIM card installed in your device?

What zip code are you experiencing all this trouble in? Do you have prepaid or postpaid services with us? Did this HTC U111 replace another Verizon device or is this the first phone on your Verizon service?
