Thread messaging to chronological view

I would like to know if there is a way to change how my messages are viewd. it is most convenient for my messages to be categorized into groups however on occasion I would like to view my messages in chronological order. Is this possible with the Verizon messaging app? I am using a Samsung Galaxy S7
