I have an old verizon package with 5 lines on my account. there is one number that they call the main number. How do I purchase a ringtone for one of the other lines on my account
Each line needs its own My Verizon account for line-specific things like Cloud or ringtones purchased through VzW. You'd need to create an account for that line and then log in with those credentials. When on the www.verizonwireless.com web site, click on the right-hand side where it says Register.
You also should be able to purchase the ringtone via the device, i.e.,
Download Ringtones - Media Center | Verizon Wireless
Each line needs a separate MyVerizon account login for line specific items like ringtone purchases and contact backups. Sign into that line's MyVerizon account online to purchase the ringtone.
