I was hoping to upgrade 3 of my phones for Christmas. I’ve been with Verizon many years and my bill has always remained in good standing. I don’t order what I can’t pay for and I don’t try to get out of paying for the things or services I order. But this time, it seems, despite my long standing, always on Time relationship with Verizon, I not only have to pay the taxes up front (which is fine with me) but also now, a 30.00 activation fee for each phone. For three phones, I’m paying over 200 dollars up front. And I’m afraid that I’ll not be able to upgrade my phone and Im thinking of trying out other mobile companies....maybe AT&T. If the activation fees could be paid off on my bill, I wouldn’t feel so [removed] about it I guess but I pay nearly 400 dollars for my phones and tablets, until 2 months ago when many of my payments were finished. Now I’m ready to upgrade, and I cannot do it with so much due immediately. ive been reading that Verizon does not waive this fee for any reason and I just want to say, that’s a shame. Loyal customers with accounts in good standing should be given a pass on that fee or at least given the option to pay those fees with their monthly bill and not due immediately. It’s like you’re forcing your customers to find a new provider.
Very disappointed,
Belinda
