I seem to find no answer to my issue. I received a call in 2015 asking if I wanted to bundle my Verizon and Direct TV accounts to save money. I advised I would. I was not sure whether it was Verizon or Direct TV on the phone and never thought to ask. The woman on the phone advised she was sending me two new mini phones as a thank you. I told her several times NOT to send the phones and I did not want them nor need them. She said I had then coming and I told her again and again I did not want them. I could not believe she was so intent on sending them. She said they were an incentive to bundle. A few days later I received the phones. There was nothing in the box about returning them and knowing a little about receiving things not ordered and also what an incentive to do something is. I had the phones in a cupboard for months and never once received a bill for them. They were totally useless as they are so small it is nearly impossible to use them. I went to upgrade my phone recently and was told they could not upgrade my phone because there was a "write off" under my social security number in the amount of $987.11 so I could not upgrade and infact could only be on a month to month plan. During all this time, I never received a bill and I never bought anything from Verizon so couldn't figure out why I owed that amount. As it turns out, it is for those two phones that I did not order and infact told them not to send. Now, they have messed up my credit and they insist I either pay them or send the phones back. I have moved three times since this and have no idea where the phones are and since I didn't order them and was led to believe they were an incentive for bundling. I do not believe I should have to pay the exorbatant fees for them. Is this a way for Verizon to recoup money for equipment that they can't otherwise talk anyone into buying? When I tried to talk to the representative, she reiterated over and over that I had to send the phones back and when I told her I did not order them and I infact asked them not to send thrm she was a broken record repeating the same thing. I am furious but can find no one to take care of this issue at Verizon. I live on a fixed income and I will not pay for them nor will I return them. I will be getting rid of Verizon as soon as I can. My issue is to have this removed from my credit history as it is their fault, not mine. Where can I go to compain?
