Why is Verizon Wireless service steadily degrading

My area, 23887, like so many other areas I’ve seen on here, have poor service. This past year or two our service has greatly declined. We call regularly to Verizon. Originally they were willing to work to correct the service. Now they’re offering to let us out of our contract. It’s not that easy. We went to fios for all of our services. Had we known AT&T would have been a better service we would have stayed with directv. I don’t want out of my contract I want Verizon to fix our service.

Having a reliable connection where you need is very important, MelNov96. We take all our customer concerns seriously and will be more than glad to help. What services are you having trouble with? Voice, texting or data? If data, what speeds are you receiving? You can run a speed test by downloading the speedtest.net app or doing a google search for “speed test” to run a test. Is anyone else experiencing the same difficulties? Lastly, what make and model devices do you have?

the Techs have us run the tests and acknowledge the speeds are not acceptable. Greatest problem is with data. We do lose calls as well. I’ve received two responses from neighbors. They, like many, have left Verizon. They gave up calling. I don’t understand why Verizon won’t go out and look at this area. I can’t imagine having this service in my nothern Virginia home. There are more people to generate complaints but the people in the rural southern Virginia are complaing and not being heard. It’s been a year now that I have been trying to get Verizon to go look at their tower. We have iPhone 8 plus’s. They work great NoVa. What do we need to do to get someone to look at the tower and see if maybe someone bumped it, blocked it... Maybe add an antenna.
