How do I cancel my Verizon plan?

I am unhappy with Verizon and have been for a while now. They do have great service until its slowed down. My bill for two phones is very expensive and I have found a different route to take for my carrier. I would just like to know what I have to do to cancel my existing plan?

If you want those phone numbers, you need to port them to another carrier first. The act of porting will cancel your account with Verizon Wireless. If you are willing to lose the numbers then you can cancel the account with Verizon Wireless directly.

Thank you very much. Verizon won't give me an answer at all. They just keep trying to get me to upgrade or talk to me privately about stuff that doesn't help me.

I just don't see how I can keep this plan with how much it costs me. We

need new phones and its just going to keep the bill at a price I cant
