Cell reception in 85742

We recently moved to Tucson, AZ and are experience poor cell phone reception. We are experiencing poor call quality, people on the other end can't hear us or understand us. We are also experiencing dropped calls, or failed calls. This is a concern for me because my wife is a stay at home mom and in the event of an emergency I want to know that she can reliably make a phone call. What can I do to improve our cell phone reception?

Have you considered getting a landline phone?

No not really, I know that is an option, but that fact is i'm paying for a service and not receiving it. I would like to know how to improve my cell service/coverage, Verizon's coverage map shows that I should be getting full coverage and i'm not.

We want you to be able to use the service where you need it most, Pjanak357. Are you noticing this issue in and around your house/town or just at a specific location? Do you know if other Verizon Wireless customers experience similar issues? What zip code are you located in?

And you should be aware from the customer agreement that service isn't guaranteed indoors.

I know I few people who live and work in the Tucson area and I haven't heard them complain about the service.

I notice it most in and around our home. The major roads by us are Linda Vista and Thornydale and Linda Vista and Camino De Oste. Zip code is 85742.

Thank you for the insight into the customer agreement, and I believe you that Verizon can not guarantee service indoors. In fact, I wouldn't expect Verizon to guarantee service indoors, because it seems like a tough thing to guarantee... service indoors for ALL of Verizon's customer all the time.

It's refreshing to hear that the few people you know that live and work in Tucson haven't commented to you about any cell phone coverage issues! My family and I have had good coverage in almost all of Tucson, it just so happens the place we don't have good coverage is where our home is located, even though Verizon's coverage map indicates otherwise.
