Verizon sending letters to appalachian wireless customers?

I came across a forum thread that Verizon sent out letters to Verizon customers that are in appalachian wireless's network stating that they are going to terminate their service at the end of this month cause of them not being in Verizon's network. Can anyone back this claim up?

I have been a Verizon customer for eight years and I also roam constantly using another small carrier in my area and was wondering if this is true, if it will affect Verizon's customers like the appalachian wireless customers.

Sorry about the title. Verizon customers in appalachian wireless network received a letter from Verizon about terminating their service.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news Jkbobell , but the letters that have been sent out regarding LTE Roaming Disconnects are accurate. If you have received a letter it is due to the significant amount of data while roaming off the Verizon Network. We are advising our customers so that they can explore other wireless options and switch to another provider before 8/29/17. If you wait until your service is disconnected, you will no longer be able to transfer your number to a different provider. I

You will no longer be required to make any future Device Payment Plan payments and if under contract your ETF will be waived.

I'm not currently with Appalachian wireless but am using a different carrier in my area to use Verizon wireless. I've been with Verizon for eight years and was just wondering if this will affect my service in the future?
