My 2yr contract will be ending next month. Will my only option be paying a monthly amount of 20-30 dollars for a device, on top of normal monthly bill, or will Verizon offer a free device in exchange for a new 2yr commitment?
Contract pricing for phones are no longer available. You can purchase a new phone at the full retail price in one lump sum or use the device payment agreement option.
Excellent question! We offer a few different options to benefit all of our customers, when it's time to get a new device. We do offer Device Payment Agreements, where the cost of the device is broken up over 24 months. While we did away with two-year contracts, we understand the importance of saving money. You can view our current promotions here: http://spr.ly/6586DIgS2 . One alternative option is our Online Certified Pre-Owned devices. OCPO devices were owned for less than 14 days, returned in immaculate condition, and repaired/rigorously tested, to make sure they perform properly. 2 year contracts ended in Jan 2017. Also the type of phone you'd pat $20-$30 a month phone never would have been free under the old 2 year contract anyway. Also under a 2 year contract you were paying more for line access fee so the phone was never free.
