My bill is paid so that is not the issue.
I have a Note 8 and My work phone is a Galaxy 7. Neither of them are sending or receiving text messages.
I tried both prior to composing this message.
Same here. I'm in NW Georgia, not sure if it is localized or nationwide.
I'm in central North Carolina and am having the same problem.
Also in NC and my texts will not send.
I called customer service 10 minutes ago and was told there is an intermittent outage on the east coast. I was informed that network support is working on it. no ETA.
I am not able to send or recieve messages on iphone or samsung phone, seems to be a problem all over with verizon hopefully they get it fixed soon.
I know what bill WON'T be paid if i am not able to text here soon without an explanation. Having same problem in Indiana

I got my last text at 1:30 a.m., tried to send a text at 5:30 and get "message failed" notification with a red exclamation point next to the unsent text. I have deleted all extra files such as netflix downloads, the majority of my text messages and restsrted my phone numerous times. I even connected to wifi and still can't send or receive text messages
Located in central Florida & I'm having the same text issue with all 3 of my Samsung Phones. All other services are working though.

All texts say failed, im in zip code 29330. Discounts should be offer to all bills if this isnt fixed soon. Like in the next 10 minutes soon. I havent been able to text since 6am at least.

When trying to send text it times out after a minute and says text not sent. I am in zip code 07751. I noticed it at around 7:30AM 3/12.

I have just confirmed this with 20 of my users here at work as well. Phone calls working, but NO texts will send or recieve in the eastern NJ area... Started around 7am.

C'mon Verizon - this is clearly a nationwide issue - TEXTS not sending.
I noticed that I am not getting text messages from everyone however people they are not on Verizon network recieve my texts. Seems to be a receiving issue since sprint and att friends get my messages but I recieved none.

Sorry to see that you are unable to send text messages. We understand how important it is to be able to send and receive messages and we are here to help. We had a report of an outage for that area a few days ago. Are you still experiencing the same issue? If so, are you able to call and use data? What does it currently show you are getting for signal? May we have your zip code location?
Hello mellymel2, having text messaging issue with your service can be frustrating, especially if it's your main form of communication, we want to find a fix. When did the issue start? What exactly happens when you try to use the service (error notification, loading icon, etc.)? Who else is experiencing the problem (friend, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc.)?
