if metro is your provider, why do you get messages from verizon?

I am having a similar problem. It seems that I am not able to receive text messages from Metro numbers. I know that my messages are being read but I am not receiving the responses. What are the next steps?
We would need to troubleshoot this matter to get to the bottom of it. How many numbers have you noticed this problem with so far?
