Unlimited is definitely limited - not once - but TWICE!

I know Verizon reads through these complaints - and laughs. Their 'unlimited' plan is anything but unlimited. The first back slap comes at 15g.....and then the return swing slaps at 22g. After the dagger plunging down throttle at 22g - streaming a stinking commercial doesn't even work. Would seem to me the advertizers of the world would let Verizon know that their advertising bucks are going right down tube to nowhere. No influence. No message delivered. Verizon's fapping is stealing advertizer dollars.

Verizon could always go back to having a 100GB plan for around $450 if this bothers you so much. Either pay for real internet or switch. Mobile internet, regardless of carrier, is not a substitute for home internet.

This would certainly depend on where you are at the time when you hit 22GB of usage(it sounds as if you are on the Beyond Unlimited Plan)

I have gone over 22 GB in a billing cycle more than once and I have NEVER experienced a slowdown of my data connection. Do you realize that having your data slow down after reaching 22 GB is not a definite thing? You would only have your data speed impacted if you were on a tower with a lot of data traffic at the time. Once the data traffic subsided OR you moved to another tower will less traffic, you data would resume at regular 4G speeds. Not once when I have exceeded the 22 GB threshold have I noticed my data speed drop. The video I was streaming at the time showed no buffering but instead kept right on playing.

User experience will obviously be different from user to user and what you are experiencing may not be the norm across all users, the same as what I have experienced may not be the same across all users. The areas you frequent at the times you do so does have some relationship to what you will experience. Keep in mind, there is another unlimited data tier if the 22 GB data threshold before POSSIBLE data re-prioritization may take place. Above Unlimited has a 75 GB data threshold if you are unhappy with the 22 GB data threshold. Which tier of unlimited data should depend on your needs and it appears that Beyond Unlimited may not be meeting your needs.

Geees - why didn't I think of that? I mean, I only spent 30 years in high-tech...part of which was actually installing networks - - and switching to a land based delivery mode just never, ever crossed my mind. You're a genius!

On the other hand - IF land based delivery were available in my area, I wouldn't be messing around with this silly Verizon Unlimited plan stuff.

Verizon knows what they are doing. Their addage is to make it all so painful that the customer will upgrade (MO MONEY!!!) to the next tier.

Now - imagine a country where the speed you get to drive on the interstate highways is predetermined by how much money you are willing to part with at the toll gate. Just as there are drivers who go slower and drivers that go faster - it all seems to work out in the end.

But no, Verizon is establishing "class" of user.

And yet this "country" is EXACTLY that. There are some people who choose not to use toll roads and instead choose to use roads where they don't have to pay "MO MONEY" to get where they are going. It takes them longer, but they can get there just the same.

There are even areas in this "country" RIGHT NOW where there are lanes specifically for certain "classes" of cars. There are carpool lanes which is one type of "class" which does not cost anything additional to use aside from having more than one person in your car. Of course, if you get caught in that lane with only one person in your car, it may cost you more in fines. There are even areas in this "country" RIGHT NOW on interstate highways where you can pay a toll to drive on a road which parallels the rest of the interstate and normally has LESS traffic than the portion of the interstate which has no toll. That seems to fall right into the scenario you have described. The tolls on these "fast lanes" are subject to change depending on the amount of traffic on the road at the time. When traffic is more congested, the price increases meaning less people will use these lanes to keep the speed faster than the lanes without the additional toll.

So what you have "imagined" is actually a "reality" already in place in at least some places in this "country".

sorry but i applaud verizon for throttling you & folks like you who feel you shouldn't be limited on speeds when you hit 15/22g.

i'm not looking to suffer degraded speeds because you need + others need to use up all the bandwidth.

I know how much I rely on my data and would be frustrated as well if my data was buffering every 8-10 seconds. The newer Unlimited plans cater do different needs and are not intended to differentiate customers, and I am sorry that you feel this way.

For someone who uses data only to email and shop, they can benefit from the savings on the Go Unlimited plan. Just as some consumers will spend more money on a car with a bigger engine to drive faster our plans are options that will suit various needs.
