Jetpack 8800L displays in MB, does not show the plan I purchased and information is overlaid. My.Jetpack also displays invalid data. Notice the line following 4G LTE, Is there a way to resove these issues?
The overlay is weird...in the meantime, 1GB is 1024MB. You can use that to get a general idea where you're at.
Thanks for your reply. The display shows 10240 which is a 10 GB plan and 10 GB has been used. I have a 15 GB plan (15360 MB) and I have only used 1.1 GB. Not only is the display overlaid the information is not correct. A Verizon rep told me this is a manufacturer defect. If I try to return the item Verizon will charge a $50 restocking fee and the $70 data plan is not refundable. $120 loss because of a defect.
This is a follow up to my original post. I have been contacted by three Verizon reps through private email regarding the invalid plan and plan usage being displayed. I provided the additional information they requested and screen shots of the invalid information being displayed. No additional contact has been made by Verizon regarding the invalid information, if there is another hotspot that provides accurate information or if the Jetpack manufacture plans to provide software updates to resolve the issues. I still have a few days to decide to return the Jetpack but will end with a $120 loss.
This is a follow up to my original posts. Verizon did not respond to my questions. I decided to return the Jetpack. I was not provided credit to my credit card. I was told I would be sent a check which I am still waiting to receive. I went to AT&T and bought a Netgear hotspot. Everything on the AT&T hotspot works as advertised. I would not recommend the Verizon hotspot.
I am having the exact same problem with my 8800L: overlaid info on the screen making it unreadable, 10240 MB plan (My plan is 8GB plus 8GB bonus) and it shows 10240MB of 10240MB used. Brand new device just activated yesterday. Software is up to date. Absolutely deceptive advertising when Verizon claims that data usage can be monitored directly from the device, when in-fact, this is a problem that they have been aware of for some time. Verizon will not disclose if, or when, they will develop a software patch. Looks like a perfect situation for class action if customers are charged a $50 restocking fee (inside of the 14-day window) plus prepaid data costs.
The overlay laid data usage was nowhere what Verizon says I used. I am very suspect that the amount of data Verizon Customer Service says I used was over my allowance and I was put on slow speed. The data usage when I sign on to Verizon stops 10 days before today and show only a usage of 10 gig - my plan has 30 and I've been slow since 8 days ago.
We know how important it is to know your data usage. To clarify, at the end of your bill cycle, what was it showing as your data used the entire cycle?
