Verizon has by far the worst support of any company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. This all began when I decided to transfer service from Straight Talk to Verizon Prepaid. That would end up being a horrible decision.
It all started when the port request was denied because the account number Straight Talk provided was incorrect. Then when the port request finally went through, I tried to activate my service, which failed. What I thought would be a relatively quick call turned into days and days, hours and hours, of waiting on hold, being disconnected and repeating the same information to every support agent at Verizon.
What occurred was that Verizon decided to change their plans while my port request was still active so when the port finally went through I couldn't activate my service under the plan I signed up for, it was no longer valid. Great idea Verizon, who would have thought there might still be activations waiting when you decided to invalidate a plan.
I spent 8 hours on the phone with Verizon that day alone. I was finally given a temporary number that keeps getting promotional text messages from another state. My number is lost, somehow, somewhere. The website tells me the port was successful but all of the techs tell me it wasn't. I have no idea how they can't see the same thing I see or are not privy to the information.
Since a weekend has occurred, I started a chat this morning, that somehow got disconnected. I've been disconnected from almost every phone call with only 1 tech ever making an attempt to call me back. So I have been on chat or the phone this morning with Verizon for 4 hours so far today and still nothing has occurred, still have a temp number and no real assistance. My number has been lost for 4 days now and no one at Verizon can or will help me.
I've requested on multiple occasions that my case be escalated and all I get is the next tech wanting to contact the port center. None of the techs add notes to the ticket, because why would sharing information ever help to resolve issues. This means I have to repeat the same information over and over to every tech I speak to.
I lost my reliable service with Straight Talk and phone number 4 days ago. No tech at Verizon can or will attempt to correct the issue. My ticket is still open and I don't believe there is any hope that this issue will ever get resolved. Verizon, for multiple reasons has the worst support I've ever seen. At this point I'm hoping I get my old number back, not holding my breathe though. I plan on transferring service off of this mess of a provider ASAP if I get my old number back. If not I'm still going to transfer service. The only reason I transferred in the first place was for wifi calling due to my phone being my on call number, well, that wasn't valid anymore as of a week ago. Verizon support isn't just terrible, it's trash.
