Hi, I set up an account with Verizon in September 2018 and on one of the lines there was “World Wide Calling” added for $15. A service neither of the line holders would ever need or use and not something we opted for at all. I mindlessly trusted Verizon and dutifully paid my bill for about 7 months afterwards before noticing the charge and I immediately got on the app and cancelled the add-on. It remained on there for 2 more months so I cancelled it again on the app. I then got on the app for a second time and made absolutely sure that I cancelled the add-on. I was billed again the next month for $15. So in July 2019 I called in to Verizon and was assured that the add-on would be cancelled and that I would receive 2-months restitution since I’d clearly cancelled it before. They were apologetic and helpful, I thought it was stealing to not refund the entire 10-11 months that I’d been wrongly billed but whatever at least it was over. In August I got divorced, uprooted my life moved across the country, and started a new company in a different state. So to be honest I just didn’t check my Verizon bill. I was preoccupied with the rest of my life and trusting of Verizon wireless to do the right thing. Then in October I was in a car accident that left me paralyzed and have been in the hospital most of the last year and just didn’t check my phone bill I just paid it. Today I went on to check it and realized that I was STILL in September 2020 being billed for the same global calling plan. $15 every month for two years, literally stolen from me. I called Verizon customer service and they transferred me on up to “as high as they could” I got to a man who basically told me it was my fault and that I was a negligent and irresponsible consumer for allowing this to happen. He admitted that never once in the two years of service had either of the lines on the account EVER placed a phone call that utilized the global calling but nonetheless refused to refund me just back to when I called in. I didn’t even ask for the other two months I was promised, just that he refund me the money between July 2019 when I called in to VZW and they confirmed that they would cancel the add-on and refund me $30 for the two previous months and now September 2020. He refused my request and said there was no one else above him that I had any right to talk to. At this point the only thing I’d be willing to accept is a full-refund from the very beginning because I know that add-on was wrongfully placed on my account. Will someone please help?
