It's like a breakup

Having been a customer of Verizon since around the time the personal cell phone was INVENTED, it pains me to imagine leaving. I am a loyal customer and don't like change. But with 6 in college, hubby and I have 8 cell phones. EVERY other company offers better deals than Verizon for people looking to upgrade their iPhone. They have received plenty of my money. Why not switch? That's what I am asking myself. AT&T offers $1000 off iPhone. Teacher discount on the unlimited plans. Verizon just can't compete when I price online or even when I do the chat. Not even close. I guess it's time to initiate the break-up. I'm just throwing this out there in case this relationship is important to the other party. If not, I'll know it's time to move on.

My husband has gotten a teachers discount for years, can you not get it? He just has to verify his .edu address every year. I don't do Iphones, have a samsung note 10 plus. I buy my phones at best buy with cash and usually get a good deal. If phone is $1,000 cheaper else where then sounds like a better deal.

No carrier cares about who stays or who leaves, it's about having a low rate of churn. Likewise, it's not a break up, it's a company you pay bills to. If one company offers a better deal, you take it.
