Latest LG G6 System Update fails during installation. Appears to be a global issue.
I'm glad it's not just me. I've attempted this update multiple times over the past couple of days. Frustrating!
Similar (if not same) problem on a different thread that's 7 pages long. I think this is a global issue.
Is there a workaround, or fix?

Geez, don't your agents, @vzw_customer_support , have access to the current status of this issue, e.g. that it is a known issue, being worked on and the update has been PAUSED?

1. Power off the phone
2. Hold the power & vol. down button together until the factory screen appears
3. navigate to the clear cache option with the vol. buttons and select with the power button
4. Phone will restart, repeat the update attempt
5. Pray and throw in some hail Marys...

What is the exact version you were able to upgrade to? Supposedly, the bad upgrade was paused until a fix came out. Maybe the fix is in!
One other important detail - make sure the phone is charged and unplugged when this is attempted, otherwise the factory screen will not be accessible.
