My plan includes ad-supported Hulu. If there is an option to pay an upcharge to get the ad-free version of Hulu, can someone point me to it? If this is not an option it is a feature that Verizon should consider offering.
Let me get you real answer that's actually helpful.
Look at #6 under Existing Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+ subscribers

Thank you for your feedback, I will be happy to submit it.
I appreciate the link and the direction. Following the recommended instruction (I was previously a Hulu subscribe prior to enrolling in this plan) I reached out to Hulu customer support as I was unable to add-on the service myself. The customer service rep told me that Verizon is blocking him from making any changes to my account, and suggested the steps I could take are:
- Cancel the bundled service through Verizon
- Re-enroll directly through Hulu
- Go back to the Verizon website and add the package back to my plan again.
I am hesitant to doing this, but if I do so I will reply with the results.
ThanksBob
I did the same thing. But after hours on the phone with Verizon, and Hulu...here is what I was told. If you upgrade to Hulu NO ads, then Verizon does not pay the $5.99 for Hulu, and Hulu bills you $11.99/month. Why could I just not pay the $6 upgrade to no ads? Seems like false advertising on Verizon's part..I think Verizon owes me a refund of $5.99 per month to make it right.
Think I solved it. I found this in a post.
Mine was not recalculating to only $6 so I entered disney+ website and inside the account I clicked at the HULU in the "My Disney Services" and it recalculated the discount. SO I only pay for the no-ads updgrade.
CRTX, help is here as we always want to be respectful of your time as dealing with this for hours is unacceptable. Help is here. If you had The Disney Bundle through Hulu or have already subscribed to Hulu (with Ads) and used the same email address you use for Hulu for The Disney Bundle, you can sign up for Hulu add-ons at any time through hulu.com/account or via Hulu Customer Service. Your Hulu bill will be credited for The Disney Bundle or Hulu subscription, depending on the service to which you previously subscribed.
For more information, please see the link provided, reference the header, 'Existing Disney +, Hulu, or ESPN+ subscribers'. See #6. Can I upgrade Hulu in my Disney Bundle to Hulu (No Ads)?
I am having same issue. I did all the steps , after speaking to Verizon//Disney//Hulu. Cancel and purchase again with no ads. Should cost me $6.00 after Verizon reimburses me. No luck have called Verizon two more times trying to get resolved. No luck. Went into hospital for COVID. So it was on the back burner. No I am trying to find resolution again. I appreciate your assistance.
SavdnNinesix, we are here for you and will be happy to help check on this issue with your ulu account charge. So we can help, please send us a Private Note.
Bundling is the worst thing to happen.
I want to add something for those that may have trouble completing this. Once you follow all the steps Verizon shows to complete this process, in order to see the credit reflected, you need to activate the Hulu subscription.
Go to the Verizon app, click more, click on add ons & apps, scroll down to the Disney bundle and click on it, click on "Go to Disney", then click on "Activate Hulu".
You should now be able to see a credit applied to your bill. Hope this helps some people.
The directions for doing this are at https://www.verizon.com/support/disney-bundle-faqs/ in Item #6. I've just completed this upgrade. I followed the instructions exactly and the process worked perfectly. It took about 4 minutes. That said, the process is very nonintuitive and strange. When I read through the directions before starting, I was quite confused and somewhat irritated that there were so many steps. My guess is that the process is so convoluted because there are three different information systems that have to work together (Verizon's, Hulu's, and Disney's).
BTW, the very last step (see 6. c. v. "Log in to your account and activate the Hulu subscription") is not clear. The account you are logging into is your Disney account, not your Hulu or Verizon account.
When you click on the "Get it now" button in the previous step (see 6. c. iv.), you are sent to the Disney website and need to log in. When you log in, the webpage that comes up has a link for activating your Hulu account.
After I clicked on the activate Hulu link, a Hulu webpage opened in a new tab and there was a message saying "You're all set."
Also included on that Hulu page was a link to manage my Hulu account. I clicked on that link and saw that my monthly plan charge was now $6.00 instead of $11.99. The Hulu ad-free price is going up to $12.99/month on October 1st, so perhaps my charge will go up to $7.00/month.
So if I'm understanding this correctly, if you are on the free promotional period for the Disney+ bundle (as I am), and you want to get the no ads add-on for Hulu, you have to give up the remaining free period. Which would then lead me to stop using Verizon for this entirely, since I already have Disney+ for the next two years paid for. What a joke. Pretty annoying of Verizon to opt for the ads plan in this bundle anyways, without even providing the option to upgrade when the "promotion" is activated. Also very helpful that Verizon doesn't tell me how much time is left on the promotional period on its Manage add-ons page.
As a valued customer, your concerns are our concerns too and we'd certainly regret losing you as our customer. We've noted your feedback about the No add on option when subscribing to Hulu as part of our Disney + Bundle. We want you to enjoy this promotional offer and there is an option to upgrade gthe Hulu access with the promo offer. To view more info about this, please visit our website at http://spr.ly/6601JKwrH.
Once you've accessed the site, scroll down to and click "Can I upgrade to Hulu Live with this offer?" There's more info to view by scrolling down to "
Please let us know if this helps you. Thanks!

This is a must. I can’t take advantage of ad desecration with my Verizon (Disney) Hulu account without having a private separate account? At T-Mobile & even Sprint, an option at least - EXISTS - for patrons to select an ad-free experience. I won’t be able to use Hulu because - Verizon - doesn’t have the same options as the other major competitors.
Unfortunately, starting to wish I hadn’t made the switch after a few of these issues. Not happy with any responses or reactions from staff on this. Looks like this issue has no resolution for this business. AT LEAST I USED TO HAVE THIS WHEN I WAS A SPRINT CUSTOMER.
Hi, jam3skca. Glad to hear your'e taking advantage of the streaming promotions we offer. To confirmed in our FAQ under item 7, it is not possible to bundle our Hulu promotion with the ad free feature: https://www.verizon.com/support/disney-bundle-faqs/#existing-Lorenzo
Just wanted to say I followed Verizon’s instructions (remove Disney bundle from my Verizon subscription, separately buy an ad-free Disney bundle subscription on the hulu website, and then re-enroll in the bundle through Verizon) and it DID work as promised. Once I re-enrolled and followed the steps to activate Hulu and ESPN+, I got sentó to a page on the Hulu site showing a total bill of $19.99 per month with a “Verizon Credit” of $13.99 per month and a net cost of $6. Only issue was that I had to wait 24 hours after removing the Disney Bundle from my Verizon account before I could successfully add it again. Hope this helps..
"Only issue was that I had to wait 24 hours after removing the Disney Bundle from my Verizon account before I could successfully add it again."
What happened if you didn't wait 24 hours. I've been going in circles on this for several hours now, and I'm about ready to toss my laptop out the window in frustration.
I've followed the steps of canceling VZW bundle in VZW, creating a new account in Hulu with a paid Ad Free subscription.
When I add VZW add-on back, it goes through to Disney+ account almost instantly, but when I click the link to Activate my Hulu, I just end up at https://signup.hulu.com/bundles/switch page that just keeps reloading, it never goes through to Hulu.
If I go straight to Hulu in another tab and login as normal, I get to my current Hulu account page with a subscription for $12.99 active.
Do you think that waiting 24 hours will get me through?
The Verizon website has detailed instructions, linked to by others elsewhere in this thread, on how to supposedly set your account up so you just pay the $6 a month difference, but don't bother, it doesn't work. I followed the instructions, it appeared ok, but Hulu still charged me $12.99 a month...when I saw it on my credit card I called their customer service but they say, sorry, there's no way to do it, that option doesn't exist and that it's Verizon's fault.
