I activated new line yesterday and have looked for promo information at the link with no luck . The link they provide is really just the main accounts login page. How do I get this promotion process started?

Private message sent about 24 hours ago with no response. This is a very disappointing process with no real information on this "promotion" anywhere - unlike the other two carriers on the Apple site that actually link you to a carrier promotional page - i guess it's just supposed to work. I'll need to look into a return and cancellation soon with no answers.

I do apologize, but we're not seeing a Private Note from you. When was that sent? Was this a promotion directly from Apple?

Yes it is on the main apple website when buying any iPad but the promotion varies for each of the 3 carriers and is paid by the carrier so it is a Verizon promotion and apple clearly says contact the carrier.

I sent a private message to vzw_customer_support on 5/5. Now I have tried a second time and get the following error "You have reached the limit for number of private messages that you can send for now. Please try again later."

Having the same problem…have two new iPads activated Monday….the promotional link is useless. Anyone get a resolution to this yet?

Called VZW several times. They say call Apple. Apple customer support says VZW offered the promotion, take it up with them. I HAVE SPENT A FEW HOURS ON THIS over 6 days since receiving the iPad on launch day. Please, Verizon, look at this page: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-ipad/ipad-pro

The very top shows the $200 promo offer. There is NO WAY currently to complete the “promotional application”. Please reply here with instructions.

Ok, 5th try is a charm....Verizon chat folks just shared this:

*** Digital Rebate Center Visit click here and enter the Promo Code UNLOCKEDIPAD200 and purchase date. Enter the appropriate information. Submit the offer redemption within 30 days of activation. You will receive the Verizon eGift card within 8 weeks of submission.

This worked for me.

I called Verizon, went into a Verizon store, and spoke for 45 minutes with various people at Apple. Couldn't get an answer on this.

Pball21, we understand how important it is to know all the details of a promotion and know how to go about redeeming it. In the fine print after you click

'View Details' and click the tab Verizon, scroll down on the page. You will see the following:

'Redeem via your Notifications on the My Verizon app or vzw.com/myverizon. Customer must submit for redemption within 30 days of activation, and device must remain activated for 45 consecutive days. May not be combined with other promotional offers.'

You will receive a notification via My Verizon with how to redeem the promotion. Have you purchased the device yet? -Tionna

It appears I'm having the same problem that lots of other users are having. Has there been any resolution. This feels very like bait and switch. There's no promotional application anywhere on the website. This is the text I'm following:

Hard to believe that Verizon customer service can't seem to resolve the issue. Looking through the entire thread, not one customer has gotten anything that is remotely an acceptable answer. Just tell us where the phantom "promotional application" is? One would suspect that Verizon has too much to lose to play the "stall until they forget about it" game. The 'ole buy it because of the rebate and then forget to mail it in until it's too late....

A question on this one. This is in the fine print.

We reserve the right to charge the amount of the Verizon e-Gift Card to your Verizon Wireless account if service is canceled within 12 months or change your price plan from an eligible plan.

Does this refer to cancelling service on the iPad or to cancelling the Verizon Wireless account? Ie: Do I just need to keep my vzw account open (with my phone/apple watch), or does active service need to remain on the ipad for 12 months?

Why do I care: I probably don't need the cellular data constantly active on the tablet (or an unlimited plan on it at that). I DO however really want the GPS module inside the iPad for use while flying General Aviation aircraft. The wifi only ipad lacks gps...

But the question still remains. Do you need to maintain a data plan on the iPad for a year, or do you need to maintain a Verizon Wireless account for a year?
