I have had an issue for about 2+ months now where I cannot send a text with a photo attached. One month was on an old device and recently upgraded and continues to be an issue on the new device.
Switched out messaging platforms, cleared cache, etc.

I personally keep in touch with everyone through messaging myself, so I understand the importance of getting this problem fixed right away. What messaging application are you using? Does this issue happen while using cellular data, Wifi or both? -Edward
I was using the default Samsung messaging. I also switched to Verizon and Google. All have same results. I experience this on WiFi and without.
Experiencing the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ using the Messages app. Doesn't matter if it's data or WiFi, if I send a photo with a message, it gets stuck in "sending..." and either never delivers, or delivers very late, like 30 minutes later, and still reports "sending..." Tried clearing cache, rebooting phone, resetting mobile data - nothing works. Next will be trying a new app but not hopeful.
Thank you for taking the steps that you have and I apologize for the inconvenience, jonesjustjan. Please send us a Private Note here and we can investigate the network settings in more detail. -Yale
We are sorry to hear that you are having those issues at this time. How long has this been an issue for you? -Jasper
How do I do that?
I'm having this exact issue on my S21+. I've tried all of the remedies described to no avail. This is very frustrating.
What should I do??
snmurphy, we are here for your support and we want to make sure you receive a resolution. Let's review. What happens when you try to attach a photo? Which text message application are you using? Are you able to receive picture messages? -Sylvia
Same here, tried all you suggested, nothing is fixing it.... Ready to move on if it wont-work correctly.

My s21 ultra just started to do this a little over a year ago. Took into a Verizon store and they could do was tell me to reset mobile network. Worked for a day then got worse. As of now any group convo I'm in or even individual messages I'm in, I don't even bother trying to send pictures or even simple Gifs. Forced to use other applications to send multimedia messages. Has there been a fix yet? I'm hesitant now to buy the new s24 ultra in fear that this is still an issue.
Hello, Osiris239, we know it's important to have access to MMS messaging. Are you running into an issue every time you try to send an MMS message? What messaging app are you using? Does this happen both on and off WiFi?
-Lauren
Yes continues to occur both on and off of WiFi. Tried switching to the Verizon messaging app and didn't not work. I've done all of the resets suggested by Verizon with no luck.
Hi, Osiris239. Just checking in with you. Please advise, which messaging application are you using on the phone?
-Natasha
Currently I switched back to the default samsung messaging application. I tried both messaging apps
Thanks for sharing those details with us, Osiris239. I appreciate you trying this with both messaging apps. I know I send a lot of pictures and gifs in my messages and I want to make sure you're able to enjoy the same. What specifically happens when you try to send a picture? Does this happen with all contacts, or just between specific contacts?
-Joseph
This currently happens with all of my contacts. The message will have a spinning sending symbol next to the outgoing message. It will stay there for numerous minutes (as sending) then I'll receive a "failed to send" message approximately 1 to 3 minutes later. The message will not send even after re-trying multiple unsuccessful attempts.
Thanks for those details. We would definitely like to take a closer look to see what's going on. So we can better assist, we will be reaching out via Private Message.

My S21+ is doing the same thing. What is the fix?
Hello BigChiggun. We want that S21 to work smoothly. Can you send Pics or is this a Gif issue? What messaging app are you using?-Joe
Hello Osiris239. We would love to help. What messaging app are you using? Can you use your web browser with Wi-Fi turned off? -Joe
Just the standard app, all pics. It's the Network. The S21 will no lionger connect to 5G network. I have spent 4 days with Verizon Techs troubleshooting the device.
Spoiler alert: it isn't the device. I just wasted all this time to verify what we users already know - it's a network issue, specifically with S21 and S22 models. Google it. You'll see HUNDREDS of complaints with the identical issue of this exact model on Verizion network. Reddit alone has multiple topics on it.
S21 on AT&T doesn't have the issue. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to understand this is obviously a huge bug in one of the Verizon security updates for this phone that prevents us from connecting to 5g and sending MMS. But I am done trying to man-splain to every Tech who insists the issue is just my device, then advise me to upgrade to a new phone to fix the issue after they fail to ..... yeah I knew that lame excuse was coming next. Seemed to work fine in July, maybe the tech just aged itself out of service in just the last 6 weeks and now I need a new phone . LOL
I notice this same issue (failure to send pics via SMS) on my S21, but only when I'm at my cabin where I have very high-speed fiber connected Wi-Fi. However, at this location the cellular signal is very poor. If I wait an eternity the pics sometimes go through, but at rates that correlate more closely with a poor cellular transfer. The Wi-Fi signal icon displays modulating transfer arrows which would indicate an active transfer is using Wi-Fi, but I suspect there is some cellular handshake that is not allowing the Wi-Fi transfer to occur properly.
Probably something a Verizon engineer might have to weigh in on.
