Wi fi conectivity

I cannot make calls using my router wi fi , I have always been able to make calls on my previous moto G6 play got a moto power 21 and now it says cellular service not available for calls . Even though it appears to recognize my router. Please help. I have no bars at my home but have always used wi fi

We would be happy to look into this with you. Does your cellular service work outside of your home at this time? Are you utilizing a Network Extender or were you utilizing Wi-Fi Calling?

I wasn't using a network extender, I can make calls only on the network when there is cellular service. When there is not I can not make a call using wi fi. Apparently a Verizon employee told me today that because I did not buy the phone through Verizon , bought it on Amazon, that the wi fi calling feature is not available. So I need to send this one back and purchase another through Verizon . It amazes me that any phone is made today without wi fi calling feature and that when you purchase it it doesn't tell you this . I paid full price for the phone it was. Unlocked and compatible with Verizon
