Tried to check voice mail yesterday and got a message saying " can not be completed as the called party is unavailable" Same thing today. This is from a basic Verizon Kyocera flip phone. Has been working fine up to this point.
I contacted Verizon by phone and was able to resolve the problem.

Tried calling *86 right now and call went thru fine to the prompt: "Please enter your password, then press pound". What were you dialing?
I'm not using a basic phone though, but a moto z4.

What if you dial your own number? I get the same prompt to enter my password.
Do you still have a 3G device? These are being phased out as we can no longer support the network they operate from. If not please send us a PM/DM to review your account.

I don't know anything about this message board, but my dad's phone is having this exact same problem. He's on my account, so if you can contact me, so we can get it fixed, that would be so helpful!!!
You can have them call *86 for the Voicemail itself, to see if it works that way, or have him call his own number to access the voicemail. Also making sure the device is up-to-date in the system is important. *Rhonda
