Putting new SIM card into an old phone.

I have recently switched to Verizon and got four iPhone 13 mini for free through a promotion. But, my father still wants to use the old phone until it breaks. So I am wondering if putting the SIM card from the iPhone 13 mini in his old phone would affect the promotion or the bill in any way.

That's an excellent question! It won't mess up a promo, or bill in any way, but you do not want to put a 5G SIM Card in a 4G phone. I can mail a free SIM Card to you if you would like.
