Can the new Verizon ZTE Salute™ phone be activated on a prepaid plan?

Since it's a simple feature phone that doesn't require a data package why would it not work? Does it have to do with the inner working of the phone? Was just curious. Mary
The reason why I said no is becuase I don't see that phone listed in the prepaid devices HERE. I only see the Samsung Intensity (original), Samsung Smooth and LG Accolade as phones you can use for prepaid. Maybe verizon forgot to update the phone list for prepaid?
