password

I cannot find my password for the router. How can I get in and change it if I do not know the password. Also, I tried multiple times to get my sons IPod touch hooked up with the wifi and it locked me out. Now I cannot even try to get it logged on. Is there anyway that I can get into the system and beable to log him on, once I get a new password..????

All the info is on the service tag.

The service tag has your serial number (csjxxxxxxx) that is the assword for your router and it is case sensitive.

The service tag has the wireless info too. It has the name of the network (essid) and the password (wep key)

If the router is sitting upright, then the service tag is on the left hand side. If the router is laying flat, then you might have to lift the router and look on the underbelly.

As you appear to have had this problem for 6 months now I would suggest you reset the router to factory defaults by pushing the reset button on the back of the router.

Then you will be prompted to create a new userid and password.

After you have done that you can go into the wireless section of the router admin and configure the wireless security.

After doing that you will probably have to change the security settings on anything that you had connected previously but you will now have the correct setting for the pre-existing devices and the new devices you are attempting to connect.
