MR DVR SD recording don't play well on SD STB

I have the QIP6416-2 MR DVR, 2 QIP 6200 HD STB, and 1 Q2500 SD STB. SD recorded programs play well (with the exception of the "Can't Locate Hub" issue) however, the SD box does a really poor job, taking a long time to skip forward, lots of pixelation when trying to resync after a skip ahead, sometimes gets stuck in a fast forward mode when skipping ahead forcing me to stop the playback and resume it, and sometimes forgeting that the show has been partially watched when skipping forward forcing me to start from the beginning when 3/4 through the show.

I have moved a HD box to the same location and that box works well. I had Verizon replace the SD box with no change in behavior.

Has anyone else had issues viewing and moving around recorded programs using the SD STB? Any suggestions? I am going to suggest that Verizon replace the SD box with an HD box for no additonal cost since they seem to be working better.

Its a known issue and should be fixed with software image 1.7

Last I heard it will be by years end. But that is not a firm date and may be later. But I believe they are testing the firmware now.

I had similar issues w/ 6416 and 2500. Turns out I had a bad cable sending MOCA rates from the splitter to the 2500 STB. The Tech at my house never checked the MOCA rate until he spoke w/someone at the PA that really knows Fios. THe signal was marginal and he ran new coax fron splitter to my 2500 plus my STB were not communicating with the router. After running cable and resetting everything all seems to be be good for now. Hope this helps.
