Parental Control Question

I have parental controls enabled on my fios TV. When I want to watch the TV I need to turn off the parental controls. I know when I used to have cablevision I was able to enter in the pin code and it would disable the parental control for all channels until I would trun off the cable box. At that point when you turn on the cable box it would renable to parental control.

Does Fios TV have that same feature? from what I understand If I am on a channel that I want to watch and enter in the pin code it only disbales it for that channel. The only way to watch all channels is to go to the options menu and turn of the Global PC. However if I forget to renable it after I watch then my kids would be able to watch anything.

No the parental pin can only be disabled while on the channel. once you change channels it re-enables itself. What you are doing is the only way to globally disable the parental pin.
