Problem with Remote DVR activation...

Okay, I made sure I have access to Remote DVR but it did not prompt me to initiate it when I logged into www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral. In fact, when I login, it just takes me back to the main page overview of my account but mentions nothing about Remote DVR being a part of the services I am paying for. I'm wondering if someone can give me more clear directions on how to activate the Remote DVR feature (not the one for wireless phones but the one for internet use). Any help is greatly appreciated!

click that big red activate button when you login 😉 That will get the online version working for ya pm me if you need additional assistance with that.

I'm in Irving TX and having exactly the same problem. Clicking on the red Activate Button does nothing but return to the same page. Tech support told me that the system version (available under settings, system information) had to be 1.62, but mine is 1.60. Is this correct? Is remote DVR available in Irving TX? If so, how do I get the firmware version to update?

There is not 1.62 unless they slippd it by without anyone knowing about it.

I'm on the same boat, however I don't see a big red activate button nowhere on that page once I login.

There is no big red button much as the person before me alluded to. Any other ideas?

Same problem. I have been with Tech Support for a week now trying to figure out how to activate. Every tech-support person has no idea what Remote DVR is. I have to explain the process in detail each time. Even had a tech person take control of my computer after I signed on to my account so they could see the screen. The following is the page that comes up when I log in. No activation page. Any help would be appreciated.

At the upper right of the forum pages, you will see a white envelope that looks like this --> Click on that and type in the username of the forum member you'd like to send a message to. PM = Private Message. When you receive a private message from another member, the envelope will be gold like this --> .

I'm in Virginia and I just tried logging in to FIOSTV Central, saw the big red Activate button and had no issues Activating it.

They claim they are rolling that out across various areas, so maybe it's just not available in your area yet.

Remote DVR is available in all VHO's now.

If someone could help me out I would really appreciate it. I want to activate the remote dvr so I could access my dvr info on my computer. So I went to my home media dvr and copied the website that you have to visit to activate it.

They also gave me a Log in ID and a code to put in.

The website they gave me was www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral/

When I visit that site it goes to the fios central but the web adress does change. On that main page, I have no idea how to activate the remote dvr.

Whenever I click GET STARTED under the remote dvr information....It sends me to sign in ...which I do...then it sends me back to my verizon page and next thing I know I am viewing my bill. What am I missing?

I just wanted to write back for all who may want to activate this. The problem I was having was that I was not registered to verizon.net. As soon as i set up an account I was able to activate the remote dvr. After using it a bit I find it to be a great addition to the service. Hey, when there is something wrong that I want fixed like the hub nag, I am the first one on the net writing about it. So, I just wanted to say that the remote dvr is great! Thanks Verizon!

Hello I have the service activated but cannot get any information on the home dvr, I see it saying getting hardrive info, or fetching but it has never worked and the webpage timeout. Can you give me some help. I have called tech support and they told me to call the e center for help with the webpage. I have had to wait on hold for a hour or so for the e center. The guy at the e center did not even know that we could set our dvr to record from our computer. I cannot get it to work. My account is set up @ www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral I can log in and get the nice remote dvr screen, but the data never shows up for the DVR.

I have the exactl same issue as well. I can login to the www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral., but there is NOT big red button to activate. Not sure what the heck to do here. I even got my login userid from the Menu>> Settings> FIOS Remote Access w/ the PIN but I have no place to do any of this. Any help would be great!!

Im having the same issue where I don't see the Big RED Button on the www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral

I can login and see all my boxes and have the option on my DVR for FIOS Remote Access and got the login credentials from there along w/ a PIN for activation but just not sure how the heck to activate. PLEASE HELP!!!
