HDTV as a computer monitor?

Hi,

I will be a Fios customer in one week. I'm curious about web access through my television. Currently, I connect my laptop to my TV using an HDMI cable to view the web onscreen. I noticed a USB port on a picture of the HD-DVR I'll be getting. If the modem is connected to the DVR, will I be able to pull up the web on my TV without using my laptop?

Any info would be appreciated

The USB port on the DVR is not connected. It is powered so you can charge a cell phone or something, but it is not active for use. You will need to connect you computer, just as you are doing now.
